Really cute place downtown Glendale. You can choose inside or outside. The servers are very attentive and the place to go for an awesome Chicken Kabob bowl. Everything on the menu is good. Really great place for a date. Omg the Lentil soup.

I was afraid it wouldn't be the same as panini grill but it was great! We prob needed one less plate for the two of us but I'm glad we had leftovers for the next day. Service was attentive and the older man (owner?) was super caring and nice. It's a shame it wasn't more full. Free validate parking around the corner which I appreciated.

Yelpers, today is your lucky day...I'm coming out of retirement today and today only! (Yeah, I know. I'm an irrelevant Yelp influencer now...but ask me if I care). It's been a long time coming. A lot has changed... So, why wait so long to write a review? Well...Yelp became boring (the greater majority of reviews posted are poorly written or lack substance & most photos are horrendous) and I'm pretty much done with all social media influencing. If you know me personally (not virtually), you've hit the jackpot. Yes, I have been impressed by quite a number of businesses over the years of my dormancy, however, I felt compelled to compile a brief write up for the fine people over at Salt & Olive. Quite honestly, my experience here was clearly the most impressive (concerning Mediterranean cuisine) I've had in a very long time (caveat, I am far from an expert)! If you are familiar with this area, street parking is plentiful (metered), with an option for validated parking at a structure roughly a block away. Fortunately, I scored a spot less than 100ft away. Salt & Olive can facilitate parties of various sizes in either of their very comfortable indoor or outdoor accommodations. During hot summer months, you may want to consider their indoor dining room, a fully climate controlled environment. Service from beginning to end was friendly and playful. They are staffed by individuals who know are grateful and are familiar with their offerings. Lentil Soup: 5/5 My apologies for the lack of photos. Accompanied by pillowy soft, triangular cut Pita. This soup was classic, hearty, fresh and well executed. My example was not grossly over saturated with lentils, however, every spoonful contained a delightful amount pf these lovable legumes. Not over-salted but delicately seasoned with caution. Shish Kebab: 5/5 Served with a lightly dressed Greek Salad, fluffy Saffron Rice, and sliced roasted chile pepper. This nearly flawless dish satiated my curious palate with generous chunks of filet mignon sandwiched between red onion and red bell pepper slices. I thoroughly enjoyed my bloody, medium rare meat morsels! You'll discover this dish to be more than reasonably priced in today's volatile economy. There's more to be said but I guess you'll just have to try Salt & Olive yourself. If you don't, you'll surely be missing out on a wonderful dining establishment that I feel deserves more than your consideration.

Glendale has a plethora of Mediterranean, Armenian, Lebanese and Persian restaurants. Each having their unique take and variations of the standard Mediterranean cuisine from the region. What I love about Salt and Olive is that it's real casual but not in a cheap way. The aesthetic is low key but comfortable. The service was great, something you would expect from a finer dining experience. Me and my brother had the same thing, Beef Kebab Plate with Greek Salad and rice. Bro had a bowl of lentil soup which he went over the moon with. Describing the subtle layers of the soup made me want to order my own! The Beef Kebabs were tender, great cuts and cooked medium. You could really taste the quality of the meat. The salad was fresh and the rice was excellent. If you're looking for a great Mediterranean place, look no further! Salt and Olive has my future business!

I recently dined at Salt & Olive Mediterranean restaurant and had a delightful experience. We ordered a tofu wrap, falafel wrap, and vegetable skewer, and all three dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. One aspect that stood out to me was the generous portion sizes. The food was not only tasty but also satisfying in terms of quantity. Each dish was packed with flavor and made with fresh ingredients, which added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I also appreciated the added bonus of a free dessert when checking in with Yelp. It's always a nice surprise to receive a little treat after a tasty meal. Overall, I highly recommend Salt & Olive Mediterranean restaurant. The combination of good service, ample portions of delicious food, and the added perk of a free dessert make it a great dining choice (MAKE SURE TO CHECK-IN WITH YELP)!!!

Food was delicious. I came with my family and we ordered the family platter and it was more than enough for five of us. The lavender latte was really good and so was the lavender lemonade. The servers were great and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The restaurant was clean and the interior was nice. Will definitely be back again when I visit SoCal.

We arrived for a late lunch about 1:30pm and luckily were seated right away on Mother's Day Sunday. Since I had dinner plans I decided on the kabob chicken bowl which is a smaller version of the chicken kabob plate that my hubby ordered. Mine had 3 pcs of chicken while he had 6 pcs. The chicken was really juicy and tender, the salad was refreshing and it goes well with the rice and hummus. Service was great despite the busy Mother's Day. On weekends they do have a breakfast brunch menu that looks interesting. With yelp check-in, you get a piece of baklava with a purchase of a Persian cardamom tea. And this was the BEST baklava I've ever had. You can tell it's freshly baked and it was not dry/sticky like the ones you normally buy. There is free street parking on Sundays, but they also validate 90 minutes parking at the lot on Milford.

9/5/23 My sister (Emily) and I were looking for a place to eat dinner after checking into our hotel and a long, long uber ride from the airport... We decided to go to Salt and Olive Mediterranean Food since it was just across the street from our hotel. When we got there, it wasn't busy at all and we were seated right away. Here's what we got: - Yogurt dip and pita bread (to share) - Boneless chicken kebab plate (mine) - Grilled chicken pesto sandwich (Emily) - Cardamom tea (we got another cup to share) The yogurt dip came out within 5 minutes of our order. We were so hungry we cleaned all the pita bread before the entrees arrived. I like how they actually give you multiple pieces of pita bread vs. other Mediterranean places where they give you a couple and you have to pay for extra. The yogurt dip was creamy and I saved it so I could use it on my rice and chicken. The entrees came out in 10-15 minutes. The chicken was juicy and tender. The brown rice is soft. The house salad is a refreshing contrast to the savory chicken. I had a bite of the pesto sandwich and it was pretty good. The atmosphere overall was quiet which we needed after a long day of travel. The staff were very kind and friendly. I would definitely return here if I am ever in the area again. Thank you for a great dinner!

I had a project to get done around the house, so I ordered the Greek Salad from Doordash. It arrived on time in a tamper proof sealed bag and a reusable container, which I liked. I was surprised that spring mix was used for the salad. When I double checked the website, I noticed that the Jewel Salad was made with spring mix and the Greek with lettuce. However, the toppings were what was listed for the Greek Salad. Perhaps they ran out of lettuce. The salad contained thinly sliced red onions, kalamata olives, cucumber, red bell pepper, crumbled feta, and a vinaigrette dressing. The veggies were fresh, the presentation was nice, and it was delicious. The pita was soft & fresh and tasted as it were made in house. The quality of the ingredients and flavor of the food makes me want to experience a sit-down meal in their restaurant. *Indoor dinning offers brunch. Wine & beer available.
